Highlights

Orange African Marigold is offered in a packet of 100 Tagetes erecta seeds for ornamental garden growing. You will receive seeds for sowing, not live plants. The product is identified by its orange flower colour, but no narrower cultivar, precise shade, bloom form, or fixed mature size is assigned to this seed lot.

Tagetes erecta is also known as African marigold, Aztec marigold, or big marigold. The Royal Horticultural Society describes the species as a bushy annual with divided aromatic foliage and flower heads that occur in orange and other warm shades across cultivated forms. It is suitable for seasonal beds, sunny borders, patio containers, and cut-flower use.

Sow in a clean, fine, free-draining seed-starting medium. Keep the surface evenly moist during germination without leaving it waterlogged. Once seedlings emerge, give them bright light and airflow. Thin crowded growth or transplant seedlings carefully after they are sturdy enough to handle.

Before planting outside, acclimate indoor-raised seedlings gradually to stronger sun, wind, and temperature changes. Choose a full-sun position with well-drained soil or potting mix. Water during dry conditions while allowing excess moisture to drain. Removing faded flowers can help maintain a neat ornamental display.

Store remaining seeds sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excess humidity. Germination speed, orange shade, mature height, flower form, and final performance depend on seed handling, climate, soil, season, and growing practice, so no fixed germination percentage or exact garden result is promised.
