2006 - 2016: A Decade of Celebrating the Love of Tea through Education and Diverse Cultural Experiences

Created and Produced by Kulov for the Tea Lovers Festival

first edition, in spreads and in single pages
8 x 10 inches > 20 x 25 cm
160 pages with over 1,500 color images

This retrospective book is a visual exploration of all of our ten tea festivals, our tea bus tours in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Ojai, as well as our 10th Anniversary Celebration performance showcase and book presentation events of 2016. In addition to hundreds of images, it also contains ten years of various press release texts, media coverage, festival facts and program lists, music and marketing tips, essays for tea professionals, as well as personal stories and anecdotes.

However, the book is not just an archive — it also contains new material. We’ve asked many of our esteemed tea and culinary educators — Robert Wemischner, Kristy Choo, Steve Schwartz, Tiffany Williams and others — to contribute various “Tea Tips”, such as recipes for tea-infused desserts and tea cocktails, tea brewing advice, foraging for tea, comparisons between various green and Indian teas, and more.

It is also an ideal reference for anyone who wants to do (or already does) creative events or cultural festivals, with indirect tips on writing press releases, creating educational and cultural programming, e-Newsletters and other digital marketing methods, cross-organizational collaborations, and creative fundraising.

But most of all, this book is meant to be an inspiration to all tea, culture and community lovers everywhere. As Kulov, our festival’s founder and creative director, states in the book’s introduction “…I’m most hopeful that this book inspires many of you to create something similar in your own lives. Not necessarily to start a full, long-running tea festival—although that would be nice, as it would allow me to finally participate just as a tea lover—but to take this global, yet communal, beverage of tea and share it in creative ways with family, friends, neighbors and nearby strangers. In doing so, you’d be building crucial personal connections and thus transforming sprawling, impersonal cities, and other such places, into close-knit and caring communities.”

02. Each digital version comes in two types of PDFs. One consists of spreads, so it's just like a printed book. And the other is of single pages, which is better to view/read on iPads or other such tablets/mobile devices. You can download either or both.

03. Each of our Tea Lovers Festival printed book versions also comes with a digital version. If anytime in the future you decide to order one of our printed books, the $25.00 that you've paid for the digital version will be deducted from your printed book order. This process, however, is not automatic and you'd need to contact us prior to ordering your printed book, so we can send you the $25.00 discount coupon code.
