Do these planner inserts work with all planners?

Family in France inserts are designed to fit a variety of popular planner systems, including ring-bound and discbound planners. To make finding your preferred size easier, inserts are organized into two size collections: Classic: A5 + Half Letter Compact: A6 + Personal + Personal Wide Each listing specifies the included sizes. Please check the listing details and measurements to ensure compatibility with your planner.

What file format will I receive?

All inserts are delivered as high-quality PDF files, with three printing options included for every size: - Pre-cut planner paper - US Letter with crop marks - A4 with crop marks Each purchase also includes a detailed Printing Guide to help you get the best results at home.

Can I print directly onto pre-cut planner paper?

Yes! If your printer supports your planner's paper size, you can print directly onto pre-cut paper using the included size-specific files. Alternatively, print on US Letter or A4 paper at Actual Size (100%), then trim and punch as needed. Printing options vary by product, so please refer to the listing details and included Printing Guide.

Do I need borderless printing?

No, borderless printing is not required. For dated inserts with month tabs along the right edge, borderless printing can provide the cleanest results when printing directly onto pre-cut planner paper, if your printer supports it. Alternatively, print on US Letter or A4 paper at Actual Size (100%), then trim using the included crop marks. The month tabs include a slight bleed to allow for an edge-to-edge finish after trimming. Your download includes a detailed Printing Guide with additional tips for both printing methods.

What printer settings should I use?

For the most accurate results: • Print at Actual Size (100%). • Do not select Fit to Page or Shrink to Fit. • Keep borderless printing turned off. • Select the correct paper size and orientation. Each purchase includes a Printing Guide with additional instructions for printing, trimming, and double-sided layouts.

Can I print double-sided?

Absolutely! All Family in France inserts are designed for double-sided printing. Dated weekly inserts include a blank opening page to maintain the correct left- and right-page arrangement when printing duplex. Undated inserts do not require this additional page. Since printers handle double-sided printing differently, I recommend printing a quick test first to confirm the correct orientation. Each purchase includes a Printing Guide with product-specific instructions, as printing methods may vary between planner inserts, dashboards, stickers, and other designs.

What paper do you recommend?

For everyday planner inserts, I recommend smooth, high-quality paper in the 24–32 lb range. Clairefontaine Triomphe and HP Premium 32 are two of my favorites. For full-color dashboards and artwork, I love coated cardstock for the best color and detail. Designs with coordinating overlays are intended to be printed on printable vellum. Paper choice is personal, so feel free to experiment with different finishes and weights to find what works best for you.

Can I use these with GoodNotes or another digital planner?

All our inserts are designed for printing and use in physical planners. Although the PDF files may be imported into some digital note-taking apps, they are not interactive digital planners and do not include hyperlinks or other digital planning features.

Not sure where to begin?

A great starting point is to build your planner around the layouts you'll use most: • Yearly Overview • Quarterly Overview • Month on Two Pages • Vertical or Horizontal Weekly • Notes

Can I request a different size or layout?

If you're looking for a size or layout that isn't currently available, feel free to send me a message! I'm always happy to consider requests and may be able to accommodate additional sizes or variations depending on the design.
