Character Sheet Bundle (5e) is a set of auto-calculating character sheets for players and game masters, for the table. Fillable PDF, Excel and Google Sheets, on computer or phone. Instant download.

The Strength modifier has been erased three times, the proficiency bonus never got updated at the last level-up, and nobody is sure what the spell save DC should be. These sheets do the math. Type the level and the six scores, check the skills you are proficient in, and the modifiers, saves, skills, passive Perception and spell numbers fill in. On the invented sample Ranger at level 5, Wisdom 14 reads a +2 modifier, Perception +5, passive Perception 15 and spell save DC 13. Raise Wisdom to 16 and they read +3, +6, 16 and 14.

Auto-calculates in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free); every field is still fillable by hand in any PDF app.

🔧 HOW IT WORKS

1. Open the Core sheet (or any other) in Adobe Acrobat Reader and type the level and the six ability scores. Pick one copy per character and save it under a new name; keep the blank as your master.

2. Watch the numbers work. The invented sample Ranger, Wren Ashgrove, is level 5 and proficient in Perception. Wisdom 14 reads a +2 modifier, Perception +5, passive Perception 15 and spell save DC 13. Type 16 and they read +3, +6, 16 and 14, with no eraser. On the Spellcaster Sheet, the sample Wizard at level 5 with Intelligence 18 reads SPELL SAVE DC 15 and spell attack +7.

3. Give the game master the Party Tracker: the sample party of five at level 5 shows the roster, the initiative order for round 2, a loot split of 12.6 gp each after the party fund's 10%, and every character's XP to the next level.

Does the math work on my phone? Yes in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader phone app, which runs the calculations. No Canva and no account are needed; the workbook opens in Excel 2016 or later or Google Sheets.

The math runs in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free, on a computer or in its phone app) and in other viewers that run form scripts, such as Foxit. Preview on a Mac, Chrome, Edge and most phone apps fill the fields but do not calculate. Every calculated box can be typed over.

The sheets carry the SRD 5.1 math and no rules text: class features, spells and equipment are yours to type. Check any number against your own books and your table's rules. The 2024 Layout sheet has the boxes the newer character sheet uses (species, background, weapon mastery) as labels only.

Each colorway and paper is a separate file: a value typed into the Parchment Letter file is not in the Slate A4 one. Print at 100 percent. The Party Tracker opens on a worked sample: every name and figure is invented, including the Lantern Company.
