Q: What do I get when I purchase?
A: An instant digital download with 3 files: a PDF with your Google Sheets* copy link, an Excel* (.xlsx) file, and a step-by-step Instructions PDF. Nothing is shipped.

Q: Do I need Excel* to use this?
A: No. The Google Sheets* version is free to use in any browser or in the Google Sheets* phone app. If you prefer Excel*, the .xlsx file has the same tabs and formulas.

Q: How does it handle several currencies on a multi-city trip?
A: Add up to 10 currencies. Every expense is converted at the rate for its own date. In Google Sheets* live rates can fill in for you; you can also type a day's rate yourself, or the exact amount your bank charged in your home currency.

Q: Can it handle families, couples and kids?
A: Yes. Give a child a 0.5 share, split a dinner between just a couple, or mark something as a personal purchase. "Costs covered by" moves a child's or partner's share onto the person who pays for them.

Q: Is it hard to use - can I break the formulas?
A: It's built for beginners. Green cells are for typing, grey cells calculate by themselves. Nothing is locked, but you get a warning before typing over a formula, and a cell turns red if a formula is deleted so you can undo it.
