Description

This pretty little candle oil lamp was born August 4, 2016. His name is "Apara". He holds enough oil to burn for approximately 24 hours.

You can use lamp oil made by Lamplight called “ULTRAPURE.” You can find Ultrapure Oil at Amazon.com, Ace Hardware, Meier, Michael’s Crafts, Do-It-Best Hardware, Target, Publix…

You can also use olive oil, canola oil, safflower oil, or grape seed oil. No Corn Oil. If you desire a fragrance, you can add drops of essential oils in the vegetable oil or on the stone the wick runs through. If you want to keep those insects away fill it with citronella oil.

A lovely (okay, maybe, a not so lovely) home decor accent piece that is just the right size to sit on your shelf, counter top, mantle, or table.

This oil lamp was wheel thrown and then hand altered and sculpted by Lucky Stradley (that would be me). It would certainly make a great piece to add to your collection (hint) or as a gift (hint).

Don't you just love his cute little eyes? I think they might just be his best quality.

Oil Lamp Directions
When filling your new favorite Lucky Oil Lamp, place your finger on the provided fiberglass wick that is sticking out through the stone on top of the pot and lift the stone off the pot, place aside. You will notice that there is a knot on the end that goes inside the pot. The knot weights the wick down inside. Fill the pot with lamp oil. Adjust the wick so that the knot is inside the pot, and the other end of the wick is just barely sticking through the hole in the stone. Allow a few minutes for the oil to saturate the wick. If the wick sticks through the stone too far, the oil will not burn cleanly and it will create soot. The flame should never get higher than 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. If after you light the wick, you see soot, blow it out, let the stone cool, tap the wick down a little bit with your finger. This will flare the end of the wick and help hold it in place, relight it and enjoy. You should not need to replace the wick, only the oil burns.

I use fiberglass wicks. Fiberglass is more durable than cotton. It will not burn or dry out over time, and the wicking capability does not degrade significantly. The wick will last for years.

NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED.

This oil lamp will provide soft light and a decorative element to any room of your home or patio.

The stone and wick can be removed and then you have turned it into a small vase.

This listing is for the actual single item pictured here.
If there is a group photo, then it is just for size comparison.

We ship via the United States Postal Service. Please supply us with a phone number and an email address when placing your order.

Because we ship US Priority Mail, each package is insured for the purchase price up to $100. If you want additional insurance, please let me know. I will let you know the additional charge.

If you need your package shipped as signature required for security, please let me know. I will let you know the additional charge.

Because Etsy does not have an option to ship items separately, we always indicate larger box size so that it does not combine breakable items. If you are overcharged for the postage, we will refund the difference once the shipping label is created. You will then receive a message stating... So the good news is you have a refund of $_______. It must be your "Lucky" day. You can always message us and we can give you a fairly close idea as to what the actual shipping might be.
