A fantastic Carte de visite photo by Charles Eisenmann, of a sideshow entertainer known as the Circassian Girl. With her hair teased into an afro-like hairdo, she portrayed a woman from Northern Caucasus, who had been kidnapped and enslaved in a Turkish sultan's harem before escaping.

In good condition with corner/edge/surface wear, some tone loss, spotting and soiling.

Approximate size: 4 x 2.5 inches.

Circa: late 19th c.
