Custom Murder Mystery Party Game With Your Guests' Names

A murder mystery where every suspect is one of your guests.

Tell us who's coming and pick a theme. We write a brand-new mystery for your group: each guest gets their own character, secrets and motive, and one of them is the killer. You get your game files within 72 hours of your guest form. Print, hand them out, and spend the evening finding out whodunit.

The photos show our sample game, "Last Call at the Gilded Fox" (1920s speakeasy, 8 guests). Your game is written new for your group, with your guests' names.

WHAT YOU GET
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Host guide: setup, a timed schedule for the evening, the rules, the opening scene to read aloud and a round-by-round script. It never gives away the killer, so the host can play too. Hosting without playing? You use the same guide, and the answer is in the sealed solution.
• Invitations: one per guest, with their name, their character's illustrated portrait, a costume tip, the door password and your party's date, time and place.
• Meet the suspects: one page with every character's portrait and public introduction, to print for the table or send with the invitations.
• Character booklets: one private booklet per guest (also as separate files, so you can email each guest their own). They cover who they are, their secret, their motive, what they know and what to do in each round. Every booklet has the same number of pages, so nobody can spot the killer's.
• Clue cards in 3 rounds: true facts that the guests read aloud. Each round's cards come in their own file.
• Accusation sheets: one per guest, with a suspect grid for notes.
• Sealed solution: the full explanation and a reveal script for the finale. Keep it closed until the end.

HOW IT WORKS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
1. Buy: choose your group size.
2. Fill in the guest form: the link is in your start-here file and in an Etsy message after checkout. Start with your Etsy order number; we also ask a contact email so you can edit your answers. Add your guests' names (and pronouns), the party date, time and place, pick a theme and your paper size, and add any inside jokes you'd like in the story (optional). You can also choose who may be the killer and who'd rather keep it light.
3. Get your game within 72 hours of receiving your completed form.
4. Print and play: send the invitations, hand out the booklets as guests arrive, and play the 3 rounds. A typical game runs about 2 to 3 hours.

• 1920s Speakeasy (the sample in the photos)
• Hollywood Glam
• Victorian Manor
• 80s Prom

• 13-20 players
Every guest gets their own character. The host can be one of the players.

EVERY GAME IS LOGIC-CHECKED
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Before delivery, every game goes through our logic checker, a program that confirms:
• the clue cards point to exactly one possible killer, so the game can be solved from the clues;
• no single round gives the answer away;
• every clue matches the true story.
Our sample game in the photos was play-tested too: the tester found the killer from the clue cards alone.

DELIVERY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Your PDFs arrive within 72 hours of receiving your completed guest form. The 72 hours start when the form is in, so send it early.
• Etsy's delivery estimate assumes you send the form on the day you order.
• Party in less than 3 days? Message us before you buy so we can confirm the timing.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
PRINTING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Works on a home printer. Inside pages have a light cream tint and thin gold lines, so they are easy on ink; the invitations have a green border. Color or black and white both work.
• Choose US Letter or A4 in the guest form; your files are made in that size.
• Cut the clue cards along the dashed lines. Use envelopes for the rounds if you like.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Every game's logic is checked by our checker program before delivery, so exactly one suspect fits all the clues (see above).

CHANGES AND REFUNDS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Haven't sent the form yet? We'll remind you on Etsy. Full refund any time before we start writing your game.
• You can change your form answers until we start writing.
• If a guest drops out before we deliver, tell us and we'll re-cast the game for free.
• If a guest drops out after delivery, message us. The host guide also explains what to do on the night.
• Because this is a custom digital item, we can't refund it once it's delivered. If anything is wrong with your game (a typo, a name, a clue that doesn't add up), message us and we'll fix it.
