Although it is listed as 149 DMC colors, quite a few of them do not need a lot of floss. You probably have enough in remnants from other projects to use in this one. The symbol guide in the booklet has the number of stitches need. Here’s the breakdown:

• 10 colors have less than or exactly 20 stitches
• 26 colors have between 21 and 50 stitches
• 17 colors have between 51 and 100 stitches
• 33 colors have between 101 and 200 stitches
• 38 colors have between 201 and 500 stitches
• 12 colors have between 501 and 1000 stitches
• 10 colors have between 1001 and 2000 stitches
• 3 color has over 2001 stitches

You can choose from regular format color chart booklet (ends in RC) or regular format black and white chart booklet (ends in RBW).

Large format charts are available on request. Just drop me a message!

The Inspiration:
“Where are we going?”

“You’ll see.”

She smiled as her husband kept driving north, a small secretive smile on his face. She knew he was trying to surprise her but she had spied the picnic basket before they had left the house. So she knew he was taking her someplace to relax. She had been working very hard trying to start her own business and still working her day job.

North meant wine country. He knew how much she loved the colors of nature when summer passed into autumn and wine country was very colorful at that time of year.

So she kept quiet as he drove, a small smile forming on her lips. She’ll have to find a way to thank him and remember his kind, loving gesture. He always knew what she needed just as she seemed to know what he needed.

Turning into the drive of their favorite winery, she knew they would wind their way thru the vines until they found just the right spot. And that’s when she knew what the pattern would be.

Here’s to life, love and relaxation. Enjoy this Picnic in the Vineyard cross stitch scene as I hope you have time to enjoy a picnic wherever you call home.

If you've gotten this far...I hope this has inspired you!

Thank you for looking and reading!

Have a great day!

I love this design for a pillow. I also wanted rustic but soft. The seller has been the best to communicate with. I asked her so many questions, but yet she was always happy, gracious and helpful! Started this. Not an easy pattern, but the detail will be so worth it.

Dorothy, I was getting ready for bed and decided to check my emails.....and there you were with the finished product. You made me cry.........I am 73 yrs old and have been cross stitching for over 40 years and never, I mean never have I ever seen a pattern so clearly printed, clearly stated, soooooo professionally done, so beautifully explained as what you just provided............I have no words..............thank you is not good enough. What you went through to produce this for me, I don't have the words to express my gratitude. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The finished product is going to a well deserved police officer at Christmas time. As I wipe the tears, I smile because I met someone like you. You are awesome! Thank you for being YOU! One of my favorite x-stitch patterns. It'll be quick to work up and the pattern is well written. Would make a great gift for so many people I know, especially myself. LOL
