Description

"Finding the key to happiness, sometimes requires changing the lock" is a phrase I coined* and this 6x6 mixed media piece on canvas celebrates the sentiment. In peachy pink/beige with patterned paper, paint, an antique Yale lock, an old key, rhinestones and other embellishments. Due to the wide edged gallery wrapped canvas it can either be hung or stand.

I love the fact that people interpret this phrase that I coined both as humor and as profound - we often create our own locks that keep us from happiness. I wrote the phrase as an invitation to a lock changing party years ago when I purchased the house I had been living in so it is dear to my heart.

10% of the sale goes to Operation Smile, an organization that provides free cleft palate surgery for kids around the world so they find some happiness.

Handmade by me in the USA
