Keep Christmas fair across your kids, and remember who each gift is from. The Kids Gift Tracker 2026 is a ready-to-use spreadsheet for up to 4 kids. Set a budget per kid, list every gift, and see at a glance who is on par and who needs a little catching up.

✨ WHAT'S INCLUDED
• 1 Excel (.xlsx) tracker. Open it in Excel, or upload it to Google Drive to use it in Google Sheets.
• A 1-page PDF quick-start guide with step-by-step setup
• 3 color themes in one file (Gumdrop, Peppermint, Snow Day), switched with one dropdown
• Built-in formulas that do the totals for you. Formula cells are protected against accidental edits (no password).
• Sample rows marked EXAMPLE, so you can see how it works before you overwrite them
• No macros or add-ons needed

📋 TABS INSIDE
• Overview: a default budget per kid (or a different budget for one kid), a target number of gifts, and a table for up to 4 kids with Budget, Planned, Spent, Left, number of gifts vs your target, a Fair share flag (✔ even / ↓ catch up) and a progress bar for how much of each budget is spent. Plus a countdown to Dec 25, 2026.
• Gift List: 60 rows, one per gift. Kid, gift, category (Toy, Book, Clothes, Experience, Stocking), budget, actual cost, who it's from (Parents, Santa, Grandparents, Other), status (Idea → Ordered → Arrived → Hidden → Wrapped), hiding spot and store link. Once you enter the actual cost, each row shows how far under or over budget you are, with totals at the bottom.
• Stocking Stuffers: 40 rows for small extras with a Bought? (Y/N) column and a planned vs bought summary per kid. Bought items count toward each kid's spent total on the Overview.
• Instructions: quick setup steps, tips, and how to open the tracker in Google Sheets.

👨‍👩‍👧 HOW "FAIR SHARE" WORKS
You choose a tolerance (for example 90%). A kid shows "✔ even" when their planned spend is within that share of the kid with the highest planned spend, and "↓ catch up" when they're behind. The # Gifts column shows each kid's gift count against your target, so you can keep the number of gifts even too.

💲 CURRENCY
Amounts are in US dollars (USD), formatted like $1,234.00. The currency symbol is easy to change in Google Sheets or Excel. This is about the numbers inside the spreadsheet, not the Etsy price.
