Description

I am happy to release this Anxiety Relief Tincture blend. I organically grow the Lemon balm here in our pristine cove and wild harvest the other herbs here as well. This blend has a grounding effect on your spirit, relaxing effect on your shoulders and neck and calming effect on your nervous system.

The following is a more detailed description of the individual uses of the herbs.

Motherwort
Motherwort is primarily an herb of the heart. This herb has a sedative effect, decreasing muscle spasms and temporarily lowering blood pressure. Chinese studies found that extracts decrease clotting and the level of fat in the blood and can slow heart palpatations and rapid heartbeat. Another of motherwort’s uses is to improve fertility and reduce anxiety associated with childbirth, postpartum depression, and menopause. If used in early labor it will ease labor pains and calms the nerves after childbirth.

St.Johns Wort
St. John’s wort is most commonly used for depression and conditions that sometimes go along with depression such as anxiety, tiredness, loss of appetite and trouble sleeping. This beautiful herb also helps promotes a healthy mood and emotional balance.

Lemon Balm
Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) is an herbal nervine. A nervine is an herb that works on helping the nervous system combat stress and nervous exhaustion. Lemon balm is widely used to treat anxiety and insomnia. It reduces anxiety and stress and eases sleep disorders. It can also greatly increased the ability to concentrate and perform word and picture tasks .Lemon balm can also be used for treating thyroid problems and has shown an ability to regulate thyroid hormone production. This ability, along with the herbs anti-viral characteristics have made the herb useful in the treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Wood Betony
Wood Betony (Pedicularis Canadensis) is a Muscle relaxant for the upper shoulders and neck. A mild calming sedative very useful for helping with anxieties and tension. Tension within the musculoskeletal system is often an indicator of other unresolved issues within oneself. Pedicularis can sometimes act as a catalyst to encourage shifting within the wilderness of ourselves when we need to see things in a new light. Perhaps it is through its relaxant properties that we may be able to free ourselves from what is holding us stuck in place and by releasing our bodies we are able to pursue more personal introspection and self-discovery. Just as its parasitic roots spread underground, subtly shifting the energy of the forest ecosystem, it infiltrates the heart and implants trust and faith where fear, distrust, or other difficult emotions reside. Working with it as plant medicine provides more than relief from musculoskeletal aggravations; it also helps us to bridge the disparities in our own lives by connecting us with lost parts of ourselves. It summons from our own depths, the aspects of our being that we have ignored and helps us to be more complete individuals. Pedicularis’ mesmerizing inflorescence heals both directly as absorbed by the body and also indirectly as absorbed by the heart.

Mimosa
The flowers and bark of the mimosa tree (Albizia julibrissin) are among the most valued of Chinese botanicals for relieving anxiety, stress and depression. It is traditionally known as "huan hua" (flowers) and "he huan pi" (bark) and popularly as the "happiness herb," and "collective happiness bark". Both the bark and the flowers of albizia are used as a calming sedative in Oriental traditional medicine. Categorized in the Chinese Materia Medica as a calming spirit herb, the bark is thought to 'anchor' the spirit.

Catnip
The natural ingredients present in this herb are a great nerve tonic and help you to relieve tension throughout your body. This herbal medicine is most preferred by many people because it relieves all symptoms and can leave your body feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It also eases muscle tension and stress which is caused in severe anxiety.

Suggested use: Take 1-2 droppers full 2-4 times a day as a dietary supplement. Doses should be half or less for children under 12. Increase and decrease dosage as needed. Please take the time to do your own research to be sure this is remedy is right for you.

How to use herbal extracts:
Generally, it is best to use an herb for a cycle of 3-4 weeks (at least 21 days) and then take a week off. This gives the body a chance to experience the overall benefits of the herb, followed by a period of "rest" and integration with it's new state of health, as well as a chance to see if the herb needs to be continued thereafter.
