Description

Rookwood production pottery vase from 1927 with a handsome mottled glaze. The darker color helps define the crisply molded lilies-of-the-valley that encircle the body of the piece. I'm certain that Rookwood had a name for this glaze effect, but I don't know what it is, I just know that it's attractive.

The vase's shape number is 1681. Also worth noting: to the right of the Rookwood mark, there is a little "dot" poked into the surface of the bottom at the 4 o'clock position. It denotes the finisher of the piece as someone named Kremer, but I don't know any more than that. The base also bears a sticker from the original retailer of the piece: Hardy's of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The dimensions of the vase are 4 & 3/8" high x 4 & 1/4" wide and there are no chips, cracks or other blemishes. It's a beautiful piece that feels a little bit Art Nouveau and a little bit Arts and Crafts. Make it yours today!

Processing time for this item will be brief; I like to get my orders shipped within 48 hours, typically using Priority Shipping via the USPS.

Also, please note that I DO NOT currently ship outside the United States.
