Hoogtepunten
Everyone's asleep. I'm guarding the cookies. A chibi storybook-watercolor cookie guard tee for bakers, parents, gingerbread fans and anyone who takes Christmas Eve cookies very seriously.
THE STORY BEHIND IT
Leaving out cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve is a popular American custom. A letter in St. Nicholas magazine shows children planning to do it by 1896, and many popular accounts link its spread to the 1930s, when parents used it to teach gratitude. Gingerbread, the cookie on this plate, is much older: gingerbread was already being made in the Netherlands in the 13th century.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
- Funny Christmas cookie guard shirt: the watercolor chibi night watchman with tousled gray-white hair, in a red and white striped nightgown and a striped nightcap with a pom-pom, holding a lit candle in a brass holder and a plate of gingerbread-man cookies, says "Everyone's asleep. I'm guarding the cookies."
- For bakers, cookie lovers, parents, Christmas Eve hosts and anyone who has ever hidden the good cookies
- Big, bold speech-bubble joke, with the design printed about 10 to 12 inches wide, depending on size, so it reads across the room
- Original chibi watercolor art by Honeyman Tees: tousled gray-white hair, a red and white striped nightgown, a striped nightcap with a pom-pom, a lit candle in a brass holder, a plate of gingerbread-man cookies and bare feet
- Soft, comfy tee, made to order and printed to last
