Energy Usage Tracker UK Spreadsheet, Gas and Electricity Meter Readings, Bill Calculator and Direct Debit Check, Excel and Google Sheets

Turn your gas and electricity meter readings into kWh and pounds, and see whether your direct debit is about right.

WHAT IT DOES
- Log meter readings and see the days, kWh used and cost for each period
- Gas converted from cubic metres to kWh the way UK bills do it, with metric or imperial meters
- Add your own unit rates and standing charges, and each reading uses the tariff in force that day
- Cost and kWh for each of the last 12 months, with a chart of electricity and gas use
- Average daily cost, a projected yearly cost and whether you are likely to be in credit or owe

WHAT'S INSIDE
- Start here: Quick guide and colour key
- Dashboard: Months, projection, direct debit
- Readings: Your meter readings
- Tariffs: Your rates from your bill
- Settings: Meter type, calorific value, direct debit

WHAT YOU GET
- The ready-to-use spreadsheet (.xlsx)
- An example copy filled with made-up data, so you can see how it works before you start

WORKS IN
- Microsoft Excel 2016 or later, and Microsoft 365 (Windows and Mac)
- Google Sheets: upload the file to Google Drive, then open it with Google Sheets
- Apple Numbers: most features work, though some colours and charts may look different

GOOD TO KNOW
- This is a digital download. Nothing is posted to you.
- UK formats: pounds and dd/mm/yyyy dates.
- Yellow cells are for you to type in. White cells calculate for you.
- The example file uses made-up rates. Type the rates from your own bill.
- This is a tracking tool. It does not give financial advice, and your supplier's bill is the final word on what you owe.
- Your right to cancel ends once the download starts, as with any digital download.
