We are delighted to bring to you Pattern number 2 , The Patrixbourne
Anne Lavene's inspired and innovative Visual DIAGRAMS make it simple and clear to see how to create this beautiful garment. On YouTube there is now videos of Anne showing you ' Ten Key Points ' once you have practiced these steps, you will have all the knowledge you need to machine knit this design, and indeed any House of Lavene pattern.
So take a look on YouTube, 'House of Lavene The Keys to pattern symbols ' or www.houseoflavene.co.uk with all of our links or to contact us directly.
There is a video of, The Patrixbourne Top been knitted step by step, from cast on to cast off. Watch the video first, hopefully this will help you understand the visual diagrams, as a guide.
Please note ! The free video that you have access to was made ' Before ' I changed the Art Work on the PDF you will be downloading.
The diagram has differant Art Work created by a differant person actually ! Hopefully you find the NEW diagram easier to follow.
The yarn used in total is 400 grams of Yeomans Grigna, including 200 grams of a contrasting colour.
As all Lavene designs this top is knitted in plain knitting with a few rows of a ' Slip ' feature. You will need a single bed standard gauge punchcard knitting machine. As with all my designs, I use an old Knitmaster 323 - as you will see in my YouTube videos.
The garment is knitted sideways from cuff to cuff, and will fit up to a 48 inch bust ( 122 cm ) The waterfall front feature is very forgiving and flattering for a fuller bust.
