Description

There used to be an ad for something back in the old days that said "Look smart, be smart"

The idea of buying vintage eyeglass frames is a be smart proposition. With designer glass frames costing hundreds new, you can save a bundle by buying vintage, and having the optician replace the lenses. That way you can have more than one pair of snappy glasses or just bank the difference!
So you do get to look smart and be smart all in one.

These are the real mcCoy pre designer cats eye glasses, from the 1950's. The era when glasses were referred to as peepers. I had a pair much like this when I first got glasses in the early 60's. There wasn't much to choose from back then in terms of style.

This is a style that just looks so great on anyone with style flair. Give yourself the stern librarian look, or the overworked secretary, so very MADMEN!

I love the way they are dark at the top and gradually go transparent around the bottom. The tips have embossed writting..I an only make out one side which reads, made in the USA. Proof of age!

They are in excellent condition.
Measurements:
lenses: 1 5/8 high, 2 inches across
across top: 5 1/8 inch
across bottom: 3.5 inches
bridge .5 inches

comes with a glasses case.

What goes around, comes around.
Love of quality and beauty from the past is happiness.
