Description

WHAT IS THIS?
It's a book ("The Ancient Highway" -- which is kind of a neat metaphor for Time) that has been turned into a clock. Hence, it's called a bookclock.

AND IT WORKS? IT KEEPS TIME?
Yes. Once you put a AA battery in the clock machinery, it will keep time.

HOW DO I SET THE TIME?
You can either wind the minute hand or turn the wheel on the back of the clock machinery.

WHAT DO I DO WITH A BOOKCLOCK?
Well, I would recommend putting it on a shelf, but I suppose you can do whatever you want with it. You could certainly put something on the back in order to hang it on a wall.

HOW BIG IS THIS THING, ROUGHLY?
It's about 7.5 inches tall, 5.25 inches wide, and 1.25 inches deep.

ONE LAST THING: DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM ORDERS?
Why yes, I do. And have.

THANKS!
You're most welcome.

(If you have any other questions, just let me know. :D )

Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
I signed up for the credit card thing that Etsy offered. I'm not sure what that means, though. I know I take Paypal, so feel free to use that option. Anything else is not accepted. Sorry.
If you click your way through to purchasing an item of mine, please pay for it in a timely manner. I will not package and send the item until payment has been confirmed. If, after two days, you have still not paid for the item, I reserve the right to void your purchase. In that time, if you need to cancel your purchase, please communicate that to me as soon as you can. Be clear, though: If I am charged by Etsy for your mistake I will ask you to reimburse me.
There are no taxes on my items.

Returns & exchanges

If you're displeased with your purchase, let me know, and I will try working with you to make you happy. However, I reserve the right to NOT refund your money. Buyer beware. That said, I'm generally referred to as a nice guy and believe in being loving toward others, so I will do what I think is reasonable and fair.

Shipping policies

I will ship anywhere in the continental United States. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii will require an extra fee...to be determined. I will then ship the item as fast as I can (within five days as long as I'm not out of town) for the designated amount on the item description. If you need it faster than that designated amount can buy, let me know; I may be willing to work with you. Also, if you're from somewhere that is NOT in the U.S., I may be willing to work with you as well; I will probably figure out how much your shipping will cost (in advance) and charge you that. But I reserve the right to NOT sell you an item as well (if you're from Hawaii, Alaska or another country).
Also, as a high school English teacher, sometimes grading takes priority; I only have so much time. If you ARE from the U.S., like I said, I will try my best to ship the item within five days of your purchase. If I'm out of town, though, and cannot do so, I will try to let you know. Trust me, I will do the best I can to make you pleased with your purchase. My experience has taught me that as long as two people are kind and understanding and communicative, everything will work out just fine.
That said, I cannot guarantee that your purchase will be handled with care; I am not delivering it personally. I will make sure any fragile pieces (e.g. clock hands) are protected and will tell the USPS that the package is 'fragile' as well. If, when you receive your item, it IS damaged, let me know. I will work with you to make sure you're a happy customer. However, I WILL require you to prove to me that the item was damaged, and I MAY not give you a FULL reimbursement. (I can't have people just destroying what they purchased and demanding money back. I hope you understand.) If insurance is desired, I am certainly open to that as well.
