Description

Holder 2 - Handmade brush holder, makeup brush holder, pottery pencil holder, ceramic bowl, toothbrush holder, Ikebana vase, small vase

Not quite vintage handmade ceramic pottery brush or pencil holder, toothbrush holder, make up brush holder, small flowerpot, Ikebana vase .

Height 5" x 2" wide x 2" deep. Interior opening is 1 1/2" wide.

Recently I found a few items that I made 20 or so years ago that have been in storage all this time. This one is not quite that old (1999). Sigh! So much for unpacking after a move!

When I was teaching - ages 5 to adult - I would start folks out on coil and slab building. This was one project for the 5-7 year olds. I would have to build along with them to show how they could keep their clay pieces from self-destructing. I gave away most of my samples. I only have the 2 left. This is the last one.

Entirely handmade off the wheel. Coil built with under glaze, crystal glazes and glaze decoration. Top of the dishwasher safe.

**Shipping and insurance are quoted for delivery within the United States and select countries.

I love to ship internationally and have done so many times. Please check the listed countries to see if I can ship to yours.

If I have overcharged the shipping by more than $1.00, I will refund the difference. If I have not charged enough, I will pay the difference.

**You may have noticed that I am not a “production potter”. I don't make the same thing over and over again. There is nothing wrong in doing that, it is just not where my interests lay.

I am what is termed a “studio potter”. Among other forms, I enjoy working with bowl forms in their various guises. No two of my pieces are the same, even when working on a similar theme. It can take upwards of a week for me to make one piece. Any given piece may take several visits to the kiln before I get the color development that I want. I tend to treat each object that I make as an individual, rather than a “thing”. I only work with materials that I feel have a “spark” to them, a sort of “life force” element.

**Pencil holder 1 will come to you very well packed and shipped insured. I will also include a stand for the bowl - either acrylic or ceramic if you would like one. Please let me know your preference in the comments section upon checkout.

If you have any questions about the cup, the process, please do not hesitate to ask.

The price asked is the price my small flower pots were selling for in the mid-ninety's. Just in case you were wondering....

Enjoy!
