Iridescent Sailfish stained glass panel: This sailfish in iridescent stained glass is an original panel design that was inspired by my preparations for a recent diving vacation in the Bahamas. I was so excited to be going that I had designed this piece before we even left!

I studied images of the Sailfish when designing it, but it is similar in shape to a Blue Marlin or Swordfish. The entire piece (save a few parts of the fish) are made from iridescent glass. It gives the piece so much color and movement that it looks different from every angle, and this effect is multiplied by all the different changes as the light changes.

I've also incorporated numerous clear prisms to replicate the effect that little air bubbles make when viewing underwater life. (these prisms are a super-hard acrylic, not glass).

To finish it off, I framed it using recycled cedar.
I hope you enjoy looking at this piece!

Measures 25.75" x 15.75"
