This beautiful antique illustration of two birds surrounding their nest of eggs comes from the 1902 book, Stories of Woods and Fields. This beautiful scene features two birds protecting their nest full of eggs.

I scanned this antique print from my own copy of the book, which is now within the public domain.

This is a digital download which you will be able to immediately access and print upon purchase. Nothing will be mailed to you.

When printing, select fit to page to get a full page image with a small border. Or when you print you can reduce the size to accommodate your needs. The original image was approximately 6" x 4".

The high quality 300 dpi resolution makes this printable look amazing. For a better quality printing, use a high quality/heavy stock paper, or have it professionally printed.

Returns & exchanges

We cannot guarantee that the antenna, proboscis (tongue), or legs of the butterfly or bug will arrive intact. The antenna and legs are so fragile that we often do not receive them intact from our supplier. We will not issue any type of refund for broken antenna or legs.

If your glass jar, butterfly, or dried floral elements arrive broken we will happily ship you new items.

If you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return it within two weeks for a full refund of your initial purchase price including initial shipping. We will not refund your shipping cost to return the kit to us.

Additional policies

Please keep in mind that each butterfly is different, and your butterfly will look slightly different than the butterfly pictured. That is what makes nature so cool!

Within the terrarium kits, we reserve the right to replace the dried flowers pictured with a flower that is similar in shape and color. We also reserve the right to replace the butterfly or bug with a similar one in the same family.
