Description

90 Degree Kites combine well with octagons, squares, honeycombs, and 45 degree diamonds.

The size listed is the length of the long side. The 90 degree kite is a bit tricky in that, we can make either the long sides or the short sides a whole number size, but not both. Which means that either the short sides or the long sides, whichever are the non-standard measurement, will only fit next to itself. So the 1.39", 1.85", and 2.77" will need to be sewn with long sides together into an 8 pointed star, and the 1.5" and 2" will need to be sewn with short sides together into a 4 pointed star.

Any questions which size shape you need, please ask!!

Piece count per pack: (Mini, S, M, L)
1.39" 90 degree kite -- 48, 168, 396, n/a
1.5" 90 degree kite -- 44, 161, 340, n/a
1.85" 90 degree kite -- n/a, 108, 216, 864
2" 90 degree kite -- n/a, 85, 200, 750
2.77" 90 degree kite -- n/a, 42, 108, 396

Professionally die-cut and sturdier than grocery store freezer paper.
These shapes iron on to your fabric before cutting, eliminating marking and additional templates while conserving fabric.
They remain "stuck" while you baste your shape, eliminating pins and paper clips and keeping the fabric from shifting while you sew, then peel off cleanly when stitching is done.

I had been cutting my own shapes from freezer paper from the grocery store for years, all the while wishing that someone would sell them pre-cut to save me the tedium and inaccuracy of hand-cutting. Well I decided that someone should be me!

I have these shapes professionally die-cut in a factory in New England, then package them myself in my smoke-and pet- free studio. They are designed to be a hair's width smaller than the nominal size to allow for the width of the fabric, making combining shapes and sizes a breeze.

I add new shapes and sizes regularly, so if you don't see what you're looking for, convo me and I may be able to add them soon.

Thanks for visiting my shop!

FAQs

I can often repackage your order to make it flat enough to ship in an envelope, saving international customers quite a bit on shipping. Please ask in your order comments or send me a conversation before buying and I will let you know if I can refund a portion of your shipping charges!
I Do! I refund any excess shipping over $1.00. I always work to keep shipping costs low, which means weighing each package and choosing the least expensive shipping method for you. Especially when ordering multiple small cuts of fabric, the system will very likely overcharge you and I will refund some of your costs. You can always send me a message with your location and items you'd like to purchase if you would like a more exact quote.
