This is a modified version a Hawaiian map published in 1893. The original narrative of a dubious nature has been replaced with illustrations from Honolulu originally made in the 1850s.
We have five sizes available:
24 x 16"
30 x 20"
36 x 24"
45x 30"
54 x 36"
Our reprint is available in warm aged colors or in a stylish blue version that gives any room a chic look. However, we strongly recommend measuring your intended wall first, due to the cost and amount of the ink involved we cannot offer refunds or exchanges for wrong size or wrong color chosen. (We do, however, offer refunds and exchanges for post office damage. Please see our shop policies for more details.)
The smaller sizes work best as decor pieces where legibility is less important, while the larger sizes are intended to deliver a dramatic impact to a room's look.
We based our reprint on the original map at the Library of Congress. The original map has its flaws which we digitally retouched where it made sense to do so.
We aren't able to offer framed/matted prints, but we recommend checking your local art/craft supply store and/or the following websites: www.craigframes.com or framebridge.com.
We print on Aurora Fine Art with archival inks. The paper has a nice, slight watercolor paper texture feel to it. We print right here in Lakewood, Ohio using a large-format professional Epson printer.
If you are in the US, your print comes in a heavy-duty mailing tube via USPS priority mail, so you won't have to wait long. (1st class mail is not available due to the print & shipping tube size.)
For international buyers: Please contact us about the size and location (country/postal code/city) to where the print would be shipped. We can then calculate the shipping cost and set up a custom order that covers the shipping fee to your area.
