Does the bike rack come assembled?
As much as we’d like to send you an already-assembled bike rack, the shipping costs were just out of this world. So we came up with a better solution – couldn’t-be-easier hardware that lets you quickly and easily assemble your bike rack at home with just the turn of an Allen wrench (included with your purchase!). How do I hang the bike rack on the wall?
The key to successfully hanging your bike rack on the wall is knowing what your wall’s prerogative is. That is to say, what is it made of? If it’s wood, screws usually work well. If it’s sheet rock, hollow-wall anchors are a better choice. Brick has good options too. Talk to the experts at your local hardware store if you’re not sure what hardware is best for your walls.
On the back of your bike rack, you’ll see 4 key-hole hanging brackets. Once you have your hardware, mark your drilling points on the wall. If you are installing on a sheet rock wall, try to line up as many anchor points as possible with wall studs for extra stability. Anchor your chosen hardware into the wall. Now simply hang up your bike rack – you’re done!
Bonus tip: use a level when marking the wall before drilling – that way you’ll be sure to hang your bike rack level.
