Hathor

One of the most ancient Egyptian goddesses of primeval associations. She has been linked to Ra as his wife and daughter; to Amenti, an ancient Egyptian bull god, and also mother to Ihy. Se has also been associated with Horus the elder and younger as protectors to the Pharonic couple. Most importantly she is the benevolent half of Sekhmet, offering and personifying the gifts of love, beauty, abundance, and the innate pleasures of life. She is most commonly associated with Isis—in her feminine attributes, and as a patron goddess to all women and birth.
Hathor is portrayed as the Egyptian Aphrodite, goddess of love. She wears the sun crown
associated with Ra, and the horns of the cow (fertility) for which she is well known in ancient Egypt. Her son Ihy is with her in symbolic representation to all that is precious in life. She holds the ancient percussive
sistrum supporting dance and music. She also holds her mirror revealing her beauty and the power (symbolized as the snake) of beauty offered to anyone that gazes upon her.
