sandalwood wood powder, benzoin resin, makko

These natural Sandalwood incense cones are created with only the finest woods and plant resins, and are made by a simple process of hand-packing a homemade incense mold, and allowing the cones to air dry.

That's it—no chemicals, nothing artificial or toxic, and no synthetic fragrances.

Each single note incense blend encapsulates the unique properties of the wood, and creates an exquisite, smoldering scent.

One 6oz. package is good for 1 -2 baths, depending on how strong of a bath you desire. If you want a really awesome, luxurious bath, with a long-lasting aromatherapy experience use the whole thing (that's the way we use them).

If you are a little sensitive to all things olfactory and get overwhelmed easily by scents, then we recommend splitting the package between two baths.

Of course, this is just a recommended starting point. Everyone is different, and we encourage you to find what works best for you.
We finely grind woods and resins, and mix them together with Makko* and a little bit of Gum Tragacanth** dissolved into hot water. This creates a dough that we then press into a handmade cone mold. The cones are then removed from the mold, and allowed to air-dry and cure for three days.

* Makko is the bark of the Machillus Thunbergii tree. It helps the incense burn evenly and smoothly, while adding no extra scent to the incense mixture. This allows the main wood note of the incense blend to really shine through.

** Tragacanth is a natural food-grade gum obtained from the dried sap of a legume. This is used as a binder to hold all the powdered woods and resins together.
