Antique Edwardian large German 935 silver signed clear paste floral pendant

Description

Today I am selling an impressive Edwardian 935 silver pendant. It was most likely made in Germany and incorporates several styles, including early 19th century naturalistic, the flowing Art Nouveau, and the sparkly white and silver that dominated the early 20th century. The 3 dimensional pendant is roughly diamond shaped with traditional five petal flowers at the top and bottom, while trumpet flowers graces the sides. Curving leaves fill out the space in the middle and hide the stems. A random vine like border pulls the design together. Studded all over the flowers, leaves, and vines in fitted settings are clear, bright round paste stones in various sizes. They shine all the brighter due to the contrast with the almost black patina of the 935 silver. On the back you can see the main stem going up the middle of the pendant and there are even carved designs on the flowers and leaves. An asymmetrical, elongated bail is attached to the loop at the top, and is also covered in paste stones on darkened silver. It is partially stamped '935' on the side of the bail.

CONDITION: Very good for its age. There are two stones missing, both behind the top petals of the flower below the bail. Due to the fact that the petals cover the area, it is only noticeable when the pendant is tilted. All of the other paste stones are intact and almost all are still bright. Only a few of the smallest stones have dulled slightly. I believe they are all original to the piece since they match and fit perfectly in their settings. The 935 silver has tarnished uniformly almost to black on the front except for a couple of brownish spots that can only be seen close up. The silver is less tarnished on the back.

CIRCA: 1900s to 1910s

MEASUREMENTS: almost 3 3/16 inches long including bail and 1 11/16 inches at its widest; the bail itself is 5/8 of an inch tall

Shipping policies

DOMESTIC SHIPMENTS:

All purchases shipped within the US are mailed via first class, which takes 2 to 5 business days. Delivery confirmation is included in the shipping price. I can always upgrade to priority or express mail, but please convo me BEFORE buying the item so that I can make the necessary adjustments.

Higher priced items (usually $100 or more) have insurance on top of delivery confirmation included in the shipping price. Packages are still mailed through first class unless other services have been chosen and paid for by the buyer.

I ship within three business (Monday through Friday) days of receiving payment. I usually make 3 to 4 trips to the post office a week. If you need your purchase quickly, please convo me and I will try to get it out as soon as possible.

Although I'm a big fan of convo'ing, I typically don't contact customers as to when I mail off their items, but I will happily answer your query if you convo me concerning the shipment date.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:

I ship worldwide at a flat rate for items under $50. If you live outside of the US and are interested in a higher priced item, please convo me and I will give you a shipping quote for first class international and priority mail international.

SHIPMENT DELAYS, FEEDBACK, ETC:

THIS IS IMPORTANT! Please don't leave feedback before contacting me. I want my customers to be happy, but I can't do anything if you don't let me know what the problem is.

The optimal time it takes from when you pay for your items to when it reaches your door is one week (5 business days), but I am not responsible for the package after it leaves my hands at the post office. It's possible for a purchase made Monday to be received by Thursday, but a more logical estimation is the following Monday. Leaving feedback about your items being 'late' before a week has passed is unreasonable (unless you specifically convo'd me about mailing it quickly).

If you don't receive your purchase within 2 weeks (10 business days) PLEASE convo me. At that point it is an issue with the post office, which can hopefully be cleared up with your delivery confirmation number.
