Description

Limited edition Gerber Baby doll made by the Atlanta Novelty Company in 1981. The head, hands and feet are bisque porcelain with a cloth body. The head is stamped on the back of the neck with the date 1981 and the number E678. Doll is approximately 14" long and comes in a basket that is 11" x 16". Doll has never been removed from basket. Dolls' head and hands have been wrapped in tissue for storage. Doll has rolling glass eyes that move from side to side. The doll is dressed in a turn of the century style christening gown with bonnet. Doll also comes with a lithograph of the original 1928 charcoal sketch by Dorothy Hope Smith, a typed note from the Atlanta Novelty Company, and a serving spoon with an engraving of the Gerber baby on the handle. Doll is in excellent like new condition and comes from a smoke free environment.
