Description

Flowing curved 14 karat gold and diamond bracelet inlaid with Australian opal. This handmade opal bracelet is inlaid with beautiful red Australian opal alternating with blue green Australian opal. The 16 pieces of opal inlay are accented by 9 pave` set diamonds (G color- VS clarity) totaling .24 carats. The opal inlay bracelet measures about 6mm across at the top and the inside dimensions are 2 1/4 inches by 1 11/16 inches. It is hinged and has a figure 8 safety clasp. The opal bracelet is hand signed “MMH” on the inside by Mark McBride Hileman and stamped 14k gold. This inlaid opal bracelet is available in other wrist sizes, color combinations or white gold by special order. Special orders generally take from 3 to 6 weeks.

Due to the unique conditions under which opal is formed, it is nearly impossible to find two opals exactly the same. Opal is the only gemstone known to man to have the natural ability to diffract light. An opal’s color is created when the voids between the particles split light entering the stone. The size and alignment of the spheres and voids, as well as the light source, determines the colors produced. To view an opal’s color play at its best, the light source must be coming over your shoulder. An opal’s color can cover the full spectrum of the rainbow. The opal in this stunning bracelet is genuine Australian opal, not a lab grown opal imitation. Australian opal of this high quality is becoming more and more expensive and difficult to obtain.
