Hello and welcome to my shop!
My name is Jay Roberts. As a scroll saw artist I combine creativity with a passion for woodworking to produce my unique art. I work from digital photos of celebrities, couples, kids, pets, friends, and families to create one-of-a-kind, realistic wooden portraits. Much of my most recent work is featured in my shop. Each portrait is professionally hand cut THROUGH a sheet of beautifully grained Baltic birch then sanded, sealed, finished and framed. I don't use lasers or CNC (Computer Numerical Control) to produce any of my art. Please watch my video for a demonstration.

Each celebrity portrait is created in a single cutting from a stack of 4 boards. This is one of the last three available for this piece. Once all 4 are sold I will not recreate the same portrait. Those who own a piece have something extremely limited and unique. For anyone interested, I would be happy to create a different portrait of the same celebrity.

As with all craftwork, the quality can never be communicated via photo. Now that I have them in hand, I am very impressed with the thoughtfulness and care with which the art has been created and mounted. In addition, the artist was very nice, responive to every question and fulfilled a special request. That kind of enjoyable interaction with the artist adds to the enjoyment of hanging his art in my home. Thank you, Jason :)

The speaker is even more beautiful than the photo, and it sounds great! I appreciated Jason's attention to my order. He emailed me immediately after I placed it to let me know that the speaker I ordered had just sold but that he could either offer me a similar one or make a new one just like the one I ordered. I chose the similar one and am so happy! It arrived within five days, just in time for my music-loving son's birthday! He loves it!

Amazing talent! I have never seen such work of art replicate the original photos like this. This is my second piece of work from JMRDesigns; I know I will be going back for more. Excellent work!
