Magic foxes iPhone 5 printable Japanese print case design by Hiroshige; DIY print at home iPhone accessories for 5, 5S, or SE
---------------------------
NOTE: The item on this page is a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD, but the same design is also available as a TANGIBLE CASE for iPhone models 6 and higher (sorry that physical cases are no longer available for iPhone models 5 and lower). See https://www.etsy.com/listing/585336005

-----[DESCRIPTION]-----
This is a segment of a larger Japanese woodblock print by Hiroshige. It’s from the series, “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo,” the last series of prints done by Hiroshige shortly before his death in 1858. This print is “Foxfire on New Year’s Night under the Enoki Tree near Uji.” The subtle color and sense of glowing darkness is wonderful. It’s amazing how the 19th century masters of woodblock printing artistry like Hiroshige could so evocatively capture the sense of mystery at night.

The print’s subject matter illustrates an old Japanese legend, in which it’s said that magic foxes would gather on New Year’s Eve under a particular tree before going off to a shrine to worship the rice-god, Inari. If you look carefully, you’ll see that even the foxes’ breath is a ghostly will-o-the-wisp sort of flame.

A more recent Japanese legend says that if you buy this iPhone back design and put it on your phone, you’ll have amazingly good luck for the rest of your life. (It’s a very recent legend, actually. And come to think of it, it’s not exactly a “Japanese” legend, either. But you have to take your legends where you find them these days, don’t you?) Enjoy!

-----[HOW YOU GET YOUR DESIGN]-----
You're buying a PDF file that you download, print, and cut out. You don’t get anything in the mail!

After your payment is completed, Etsy will send you an email at the address that you registered with your Etsy account. The email will contain a link for you to "View Your Files on Etsy.” Follow that link to download your files. Or you can use a web browser to go to Etsy.com, log into your account, and then click "Your Account -> Purchases Page -> Order". You will be able to download your files from there.

-----[WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH THE DOWNLOAD]-----
The PDF files you get will contain suggestions to help you find a good case if you don’t have one. They will also provide practical tips for what paper and printer settings to use so that you get the best printout.

The downloaded file will not have the "Three Corner Graphics" watermark.

-----[WHY THREE SIDE-BY-SIDE IMAGES?]-----
The photo with the three iPhone designs side-by-side is a screen shot of the PDF page you would get for an iPhone 6/6S. If you order for an iPhone 5/5S/SE, the images will be slightly smaller; or for the iPhone 6 Plus or 6S Plus, slightly larger. The reason for three different formats is to accommodate different styles of iPhone cases.

-----[HAVE A SILHOUETTE CUTTING MACHINE?]-----
I don't have a Silhouette machine myself, but based on what I read, you should be able to print out the downloaded iPhone design PDF file, then use a PixScan mat to take a picture of the page, then use your machine to neatly cut out your new iPhone back. Granted, it's not hard to cut it out with ordinary scissors, either, but you're probably looking for things to cut with your new Silhouette, right? So now you have something!

-----[THANK YOU]-----
Thanks for looking! I’ve worked hard, either to create my own designs, or to select, crop, and arrange public domain art works to maximize their impact. Whether you buy or not, I would like to hear from you if you specially like (or dislike) certain ones. Thanks again.

Excellent. Excellent service. My downloading skill is primitive and was the cause of a difficulty which was generously resolved by the seller.
