This nature-inspired statement necklace features peacock jasper, freshwater pearls, rainforest jasper, faceted carnelian, and sterling silver beads. It is the third in a series of handmade necklaces inspired by a small local pond that I particularly love. Its focals are lovely peacock jasper coin beads, each one a unique color mix of greens, orange-brown, cream, and gray. They are complemented by the freshwater pearls, which are off-white in color and brightly glossy, and the faceted carnelians (around 8mm in size). The latter are especially pretty when their facets catch the light, and their warm orange color tone really brings out the warmth in the peacock jasper focals. The rainforest jasper (8mm, 6mm) offers various shades of green and contributes to the necklace's elegantly earthy quality. Smooth uncut carnelian rounds (6mm) were used here as well.

This necklace also includes many sterling silver components, including daisy spacers, rondelles, round beads (3mm, 2mm), heavy-duty crimps, crimp covers, wire guards, jump rings, and an "S" clasp. All of these components were made in either the USA or Italy, with the exception of the clasp, which was made in Bali (Indonesia).

A lovely pair of freshwater pearl and carnelian sterling silver earrings is also included. The carnelians (6mm, 4mm) are smooth rounds, the smaller of which I used to ornate the earrings' sterling hooks. The hooks come with clear ear guards to help keep this sweet pair more secure on your ears. Also used in these earrings are sterling pins and small rounds (2mm).

The necklace is designed around its four peacock jasper focals. At the very center of the strand is a bead group with a trio of rainforest jasper beads bordered by small sterling rounds (2mm) and flanked by a pair of pearls, silver rondelles, and faceted carnelian. On either side of this central bead group are the following:

• A peacock jasper coin focal bordered by a pair of sterling daisy spacers
• A bead group like the central one, except with the freshwater pearls as the trio in the middle and a pair of rainforest jasper rounds flanking that trio
• Another peacock jasper coin focal bordered by a pair of sterling daisy spacers
• A repeat of the central bead group
• A small sterling bead followed by four smooth carnelian beads (6mm) between a pair of rainforest jasper rounds (6mm)
• Sterling silver finishing components, with two heavy-duty sterling silver crimps under silver covers, the pair bordered by silver rondelles
• Sterling wireguards, which complete the strand proper.

The crimps hold secure the high-quality 49-strand beading wire (made in the USA) used for the necklace, and the wire guards help reduce abrasion of the wire. The silver "S" clasp has a solid silver jump ring linking it to the strand. Its connector is also a solid jump ring. (Both rings came with the clasp and are soldered.)

The length of this earthy and elegant piece is 20.5 inches, including the clasp. The matching earrings are about 1.5 inches long, including their hooks. Please see my photos for a ruler measurement, with a penny coin for size comparison. Also please note that the bust shown in a companion photo is not life size, but smaller (about 10 inches in height).

I like to ship quickly, usually 1 or 2 days after payment unless it's a weekend or holiday. Please ensure your shipping address is current.

U.S. ORDERS: I ship USPS First Class w/Tracking. If you want to purchase insurance or upgrade, please contact me.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: After many years of shipping internationally, I am temporarily ceasing such shipments.

However, if you live outside the U.S. and would like to buy something, contact me. I will do what I can to help. Be aware that any tariffs, customs fees, and surcharges are paid by the buyer.

Note that shipping is now very costly for USPS First Class International, which is what I would normally use. Also, if you live in the EU, I do not have GDPR policies at the moment.
I sincerely want you to be happy with your purchase.

Returns are accepted if you contact me within 7 days after delivery to you. I expect to receive the item no later than 2 weeks after delivery. If this timeframe is problematic for you, contact me before buying. Also, I do allow extensions for special holidays such as Christmas and Valentine's Day, as some people buy early, me included!

For All Items: I will refund for the purchase price minus original shipping cost.

You are responsible for return shipping with tracking (U.S.). Items should be in their original condition, with the original wrapping and packing materials. Extra items, like jewelry cards, gift bags, boxes, freebies, should be included.
Non-receipt: I will do my very best to help you if items go astray. Tracking provides information on the item's routing to its destination, and I always ship directly from the post office rather than relying on postal pick-up. Again, please be sure that your shipping address is CURRENT.

Damage: I pack orders well to minimize any problem in this area. However, if your purchase arrives damaged, contact me immediately. I will do my very best to help.
I accept PayPal and Etsy Payments. Please be aware that even if you are not a member of PayPal, you can securely use it to pay for your purchase with a major credit card.

Payment must be made within 24 hours of purchase or the order will be cancelled.

To Rhode Islanders: Sorry to say, but by law I must apply 7% sales tax to your purchase and pass it on to "the governor."

Buyers from other states may also be charged state sales tax. In this case, your tax payment is determined and handled by Etsy, not me.
Yes, I am always happy to accept a custom order! Whether or not I require a deposit, full amount, or neither will depend on the nature of the order. I have done a number of such orders elsewhere with no deposit or purchase required, as I knew I could simply add those items to my inventory if the customer decided not to purchase. (Customers always did purchase them, though.) I always show photos of custom orders to the customer.
If you are buying a gift for someone and have used that person's address for shipping, please let me know at the time of ordering - I will be happy to include a complimentary notecard in which is written whatever message you would like to send.

Of course, I am always happy to send to that person's address. Just please make sure it is CURRENT. Thank you!
