Description

Any Polar Bear will tell you that the Arctic is a wild, windy and cold place to call home. When the days are short and the nights are long a sleeping bag and tent are just the ticket to ride out a storm...especially if there's a toasty hot water bottle to ward off the chill and warm your belly.

This listing is for a PDF sewing pattern not a finished play set. Chalky and Cotton Go Camping will arrive to you as a downloadable file. All pattern sheets and instructions will print to Australian standard A4 pages so no cutting and sticking pages together. The project uses both wool felt and cotton quilting weight fabrics. The finished size of the tent is around 12cm. The inclusion of movable arms and legs in the polar bear construction makes this design very 'playable' for young hands.

The completed play set does have small components and uses small items such as beads and buttons in its construction and as such full supervision should be in place when Chalky and Cotton are in the hands of a small child to whom small items pose a choking hazard.

The finished project comprises a snug dome style tent, two polar bears and their sleeping bags, pillows, backpacks, scarves and a cozy campfire to ward off the chill. I made this set to be both played with and to inspire further play. Perhaps they'll be a stepping stone to all important fort building when the weather closes in and the small people in your life need to make some fun?

I go to every length to provide detailed and easily understood written instructions. Chalky and Cotton are best suited to a maker who has attempted one or two toys before...however, if you're new to toy making or find any bumps in the road while you're making your play set fella please don't hesitate to contact me (jenny@frazzydazzles.com) and I'll provide you with any help, tips or support you need to finish your happy campers!

Please note that as I'm an Australian designer. All measurements will be given using the metric system.

While I'm happy for you as the purchaser to make Chalky and Cotton Go Camping and sell your work on a small scale such through a market I do ask that all labeling and marketing material identify myself and or Frazzy Dazzles as the original designer. The copying of and or re-selling/re-distribution of this pattern either in paper or digital form is illegal...and just not very nice.

Thank you for looking at my little Chalky and Cotton! If you like my designs you might like to follow my Frazzy Dazzles page of Facebook and Instagram. That's where I share all new and emerging designs first.
