Description

15" x 29" x 3-1/2" thick - Oak wood slice clock. The numbers and the Wolf are carved in the end-grain of the wood slice. The oak slice is rough cut with a chainsaw, end-grain sealed with wax, and air dried for a couple of years. The colors are hand painted with satin lacquer. Top, sides, and bottom are finished with clear satin lacquer. Takes (1) AA battery(not included).

Wood slices are fragile and you will have to treat them like a plate hanging on the wall. If you drop them, they might break. Any cracks visible in these clocks will shrink or swell depending on the moisture content of the environment. Most people prefer the cracks. Please be gentle with the hands and use the movement wheel on the back of the clock to adjust the time. Sometimes I bend them a little so they clear the carving. The weight of the clock is written on the back for hanging purpose. The picture shown is the actual clock. This one is 20 lbs.
