Description

Once you try our bezel pushers, you won't want to use anything else for setting cabochons in your jewelry. And you may not need to!

Manufacted in Milwaukee exclusively for us, the SmoothSet bezel pusher/burnisher is made from long-lasting acrylic with a smooth, curved end that won't mar your metal.

This listing is for a set of two: our standard size AND the mini version.

These tools are easy to use, and you'll quickly figure out your own favorite way of working with them. We use them in the same way you'd use a traditional bezel rocker and burnisher, and for us it takes the place of both when working with bezel walls up to 22 gauge (depending on your hand strength).

To set a stone, hold the rounded end next to the bezel wall and use a rocking motion against the metal, pushing opposing points toward the stone as you work your way around the bezel. For final burnishing, turn the tool perpendicular to the bezel and use a gliding pressure to firmly burnish the bezel against the stone. Because they are made of durable acrylic, the SmoothSet tools won't mar your stone or the metal!

Your bezel pushers will have a color SmoothSet label: Selet Citron, Blue Topaz, or Ruby. The bright color can help you find your tool on the bench top! (Send us a note when you order if you'd like two different colors.) There's also a hanging hole on the bigger size for those who like to hang their tools from hooks.

You may want to modify the tools after you try them: Some people like softer edges so they sand the acrylic a little.
