Description

For sale is this wonderful Moser, artist signed and elaborately hand painted green glass V shaped bowl.
The deep green clear glass bowl is painted primarily with whimsical images of birds and chickens, there is also a sun, a castle and a goat. The footed base is enamelled in gold gilt. Gold trim traces the deep green, blue, white, red and black enamel colours that crest the playful images.

MEASUREMENTS APPROXIMATELY:
TALL: 4 1/2"
BASE: 3" diameter
TOP OPENING: 6 1/2" diameter


CONDITION: Good vintage CONDITION , no cracks, or excessive wear some minor flee bites around the rim, some wear to the gold gilding


Some History
Moser Glass Company was founded by Ludwig Moser (1833-1916), he was an of jewish decent from the Czech Republic (then known as Bohemia). Originally he had trained as a painter and engraver. Some of the artist he employed like Eduard Hoffman and Johann Hoffman were of Bohemian descent thus creating a strong Bohemian influence. The quality of the glass produced was strictly controlled and all inferior pieces were.
