Description

An original prehistoric cave like drawing of a few famous prehistoric/neolithic cave art objects, drawn as a prehistoric cave frieze by Paula Kuitenbrouwer, owner of www.mindfuldrawing and author of 'Birds, Butterflies, Fish & Botany'. This drawing consist of:

The Venus of Willendorf, a.k.a. the Woman of Willendorf, 28,000 – 25,000 B.C.E, which is an 11.1-centimetre high statuette of a female figure estimated to have been made between about 28,000 and 25,000 BCE.

Lion-man, 40.000 years old, from Hohlenstein Stadel, Germany. 'Man' stands here for human, because its gender of this statutes is uncertain. This statute is 11 cm height, 3 times taller than Venus. Lion-man is half man- half animal.

Both Venus and Lion-man are shown against a Lascaux themed background that shows the stick topped by a bird of the shamanistic scene of Lascaux 'Prostrate man with bison', hand prints as found in many prehistoric caves, 'Engraved deer' and 'Large black cow', both Lascaux paintings.

Size of drawing is 12-16 inches, 30-43 cm, easily to frame with an expensive or standard sized DIY frame. Paula advises to frame this drawing in a colour in accordance with the colours inside prehistoric caves. It makes a beautiful and special gift.

This drawing will be shipped in an artist expandable cylinder named 'The Tube' by ICON. It has an adjustable shoulder strap and can be used over and over for workshops, transporting documents, school artwork etc. It price is included in the shipping.

Keep drawing out of direct sunlight as direct sunlight is never a good idea for art. This drawing is invisibly coated with fixative, nevertheless use clean hands during unpacking and framing.

Obtaining this drawing doesn't transfer reproduction rights. Copyright by Paula Kuitenbrouwer.
