The outside of this small, shallow bowl features a beautiful red and orange tissue paper printed with images of roses. On top of this is a Japanese red lace paper. The edges of both are torn to create a feathery, uneven perimeter. Inside is a cream Thai banana bark paper, full of pressed leaves and grass. Scatted over the surface are little bits of red and white paper, originally a pattern of white hearts on red. And landing here and there are tiny pieces of a gold pattern of flowers printed on a cream tissue paper.

This bowl is 5 inches across and 1.75 inches high. (12.5 cm x 4.5 cm).

I make my eggshell-thin bowls from tissue and handmade papers. Each is one-of-a-kind (OOAK), no two are alike! They are sturdy enough to store light objects, such as jewelry or paper clips, but are best used as decorative objects. Many are translucent and look especially pretty displayed near a window or other light source. The bowls must be kept dry and are not for use with food or liquids.

The bowl will be mailed to you well protected, cushioned inside a sturdy cardboard box.
