When Queen Victoria's beloved husband passed away she went into deep mourning for the rest of her life. Wearing only the darkest black in memory of her beloved Albert, she inspired generations of women after her to follow suit.

Absolutely elegant and beautiful, this bonnet is made from slubby texture-rich 100% silk dupioni and lined in black cotton. The brim features a grid of pin-tucking, with a tiny black bead hand stitched at each point. It ties beneath your chin (or let the ties hang loose and free) with a 100% silk satin ribbon.
The back of the bonnet is slightly adjustable by pulling the ribbon tighter or making it looser.
It should fit a small or medium sized head.

This bonnet will be shipped with the utmost care, in a rather large box to keep the brim from being crushed. I suggest storing it either on a hat form (like the classy blue styrofoam head in my pictures), in the original packaging, or hung from a hook by the back of the ribbon casing, so that the brim hangs freely underneath it without creasing.
It will be shipped priority mail with delivery confirmation within the USA and first class international for addresses outside the states.
