Description

SALE, save 20%! Was $65, now $52.00. Have another pair on sale also. Super cool and oh so hipster! Gorgeous and so hardy feeling, original thick black frame glasses made by Bausch Lomb from 1950s 60s, most likely 60s. This listing is for pair of glasses shown on top of first photo ONLY. Pair underneath is made by American Optical and listed separately in my shop SeaSeaRider. Lenses and frames in overall good condition, no scratches on lenses. They are most likely reading type as when I put them on, I can tell very little difference between vision with my naked eyes and these glasses. You could probably add new lenses for a madmen, hipster mid century vibe or even better, make them into sun glasses! Also great for display on a stack of books, desk, office, or bedside table for your mid mod décor. Perfect décor for any eye doctor's office or as a stocking stuffer for an eye professional! I know these are original as they came from a family members estate from the early 1970s. Will come with case they were found in. (FYi I can ship both pair for same shipping cost.)
Love the rounded square shape. About 5 3/8" from outer top of rims, side to side. Overall in great shape except some minor scratching on very ends where glasses curve behind ear. Convo if you want close up pics. Didn't want to waste one of my 5 photo slots on this as the glasses are so fab! On both side pieces engraved on the inside it has Bausch Lomb 5 1/2. ( See photo 5.) Not really out of shape as they sit level on my face when I put them on. Do not appear to be stretched out and hinges are in very good shape. It is my understanding that these can be warmed to bend frame if needed but I would consult an eye dr for advice if needed.
This listing is for the glasses pictured on top in photo 1 and in photos 2, 3, 4 and 5. The other pair onbottom in photo 1 is made by American Optical from same era and are also listed in my shop.
Will be shipped Priority to anywhere in U.S. and includes insurance and tracking. If you want both, you can check out and I can refund or convo me and I will reserve and adjust. But if you are not a fan of playing convo tag, I will refund promptly. I do this all the time!
I will do my best to combine SHIPPING on any multiple purchases, which can easily be done with these cards. Convo for rate or if you don't want to wait, check out and know I will do my best to refund thru Paypal. I am unable to put that automatically on my shipping rates since I carry such a wide range of items in my shop.
SeaSeaRider specializes in seashell/beach/nautical vintage and original art and home decor but also a variety of "other" inspired themes. As a sampling, I have old coral, shells, sea fans, seashell bookplates that make unique affordable art, ship themed items, books, bird & botanical bookplate prints, old wooden letterpress, sea-themed original & vintage jewelry, my handmade sea signs called "Sea Shingles", vintage Christmas & Valentines, etc.
Come on over for a mini vacation! Much to inspire you to decorate, create, or gifts for the hard to buy for vintage and/or ocean lover!
