We start with locally sourced woods whenever possible and mill them down to size in our small shop. Each item is shaped and sanded repeatedly until smooth. They are then wet down to raise the grain and sanded some more. followed by a finish of two coats of poly.

The toaster tongs are made made from black cherry, black walnut, figured maple, oak or ash and measures approximately 8.75" long.
Each utensil has it's own unique grain pattern. Our images are representative of the shape and of the wood species and color but your piece will most likely have a different grain.

We recommend hand washing with soap and water, wipe off the excess and then allow to air dry. Please don't soak them or put in the dishwasher! Apply a coat of oil, or our Spoon Balm, occasionally to protect the wood.
