Description

Beautiful bespoke fused glass panel showing the Welsh hills around my home. I work in my garden shed and get inspired by the mountains and coastlines of my local area.
The panel is slowly made up with hand cut pieces of glass in colours to suit the scenery. It is then fired in the kiln and mounted onto a unique piece of pottery that I personally make and fire in my pottery kiln - and yes, I need a bigger shed! I try to sign most pottery pieces on the back. It is a very time consuming hobby as I do like to combine the two materials - glass and pottery. Glass is a very tactile material and needs to be touched and caressed! (Especially when I open the kiln to see what the result is - the glass is usually still warm and it is always a Wow moment.)
The piece is approx. 32cm x 20cm.
