Description

London Blue Topaz Studs Blue Topaz Earrings Blue Topaz Studs Silver Studs Granulated Earrings November Birthstone Womens Gift for Wife

London blue topaz trillion stones: 6mm
Dimensions of earrings: 3/8"

----------------

Classical jewelry is called classical for a reason. Now, we're not saying classic. Or classy. We're talking classical. We're talking Etruscan. We're talking 700-500 BC.

The trillion-shaped stones in these blue topaz earrings are surrounded by two rows of tiny granulated balls which were fused onto the earrings as they were being made. This is where the classical part comes in. It's all in the technique.

Generally, the parts that comprise a piece of jewelry are put together using tiny pieces of metal (solder) that have a lower melting point than the piece of jewelry that is being created. These earrings, however, were made by fusing, a classical technique that entails placing the tiny silver balls onto the earring and, in essence, using the torch to heat the piece to the point that the balls adhere to the earring but don't melt or lose their shape.

So, while the process that is used to create these earrings goes back thousands of years, the end result is very today. Classic, but current. Traditional, perhaps, but still cool enough to become your easy go-to accessory. Easy is good.

A note about materials: Solid gold, silver and gemstones are my materials of choice. I value the privilege of working with these beautiful natural materials and hope that you will love them as much as I do.
