if you were in a jam, you'd want to be able to rely on a cuff on your wrist that was capable of saving the day, the same way as Maxwell Smart used to take off his shoe and use it as a phone. thats exactly what i was thinking when i made this cuff.

so i pulled out chain and cogs and little electrode things and portal grommets and gears and a bunch of stuff that looked like they could have a real purpose. and i started trying to assemble them on the leather in a way that would give the cuff special powers. but then i realized that my mechanical engineering skills suck. and that no matter how hard i tried, i couldnt make a cuff that could shoot laser beams that could cut through glass, or at the press of a button make me turn invisible.

but, what i did learn while making this cuff is that i could assemble a bunch of useless bits and bobs in a way that looks pretty rad. and i learned that i cant have all the sweet skills that chicks dig. my ability to put an entire hardboiled egg wrapped in a piece of toast in my mouth all in one go is pretty hard to beat. i nailed that skill. but making cuffs with special powers that save the day, i aint got nothing.

but im ok with making a cuff that has no special powers, but still looks really cool, and adds another piece to the ever evolving steampunk movement....
