I sketched this image from the shore of Washington’s glacial Spirit Lake back when I was a kid and probably ten years before the mountain blew. I still get choked up recalling its beauty and all my memories there as a perennial camper, hiker, swimmer and water skier. The May 18, 1980 explosion entirely changed the lake and mountain of course but this spot remains intact for me in my heart along with vivid recollections and powerful childhood sentiments.

Digital photo reproduction of my original pencil sketch.
The 8” x 12” image is printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper with a matte finish. Art is shipped to you signed and delivered (minus the Borchgrevink watermark overlay) with a 2” four-ply textured white mat with a mat board backing – total size: 12” x 16”.
