Add $2.50 for each additional plant listing purchased on the same invoice, whether choosing First Class or Priority. NOTICE: If ordering more than one plant, DO NOT add to your cart until I have sent you an adjusted invoice for shipping.

I have a frugal recycle method of shipping my plants. I use cereal, cracker and etc. boxes, damp paper towels and shredded paper then completely cover with adhesive tape. This keeps the shipping cost down for my buyer. The USPS boxes weigh so much more and must be sent Priority which then puts the weight over First Class mail with the same quick delivery time. If you would prefer Priority add $3.00 additional to the shipping price. Thanks, Brenda

You are buying 3 healthy cuttings of the unusual Pencil Cactus Plant/Tree/Bush. Latin: Euphorbia tirucalli. AKA: Rubber Hedge, Milk Bush).

Each cutting will become it's own small 'tree', not just one stick or twig. The cuttings will be 5" or larger. The photo is of the Mother Plant which was started from a small cutting 2 years ago is for illustration. The Pencil plant is a fast grower and love neglect.

When you receive them plant in a loose sandy soil and keep moist until they root. Slowly wean off watering once rooted and then only water when dry.

We carefully pack for shipment. Your cuttings might be stressed from shipping. Be prepared for your plant when it arrives. You will receive a tracking number so make arrangements if you won't be home. You don't want them sitting in a hot mail box for to long.

These plants aren't a cactus! They have no thorns like cactus, they thrive on neglect and grow easily in dry conditions. They make a great addition to a rock garden or a nice house plant!

These plants can grow in to large trees in tropical areas or you can keep them trimmed into bushes with lots of criss-crossing, round, pencil-like limbs.

You can practically plant them and forget them! These plants are hardy to zone 9a, can be planted in full sun to bright shade and are perfect for xeriscaping. They are drought tolerant. In colder climates, they can be planted in containers and brought in during the winter. Treat as a cactus and allow soil to dry between watering.

*Cautions: These plants do have a milky sap that is a skin irritant in some people, so take care when trimming your plants and don't allow the sap to get on your skin or in your eyes.

Given bright light and warmth, the pencil plant can easily grow into a 6-foot specimen plant. They have a rangy, open growth habit, and are more valued for their novelty than the sheer beauty of their foliage. Pencil cactus can be trimmed back if they become too large. As with all succulents, it’s better to let it dry out rather than risk too much moisture and the ensuing rot.
