Description

African OOAK art doll -
Dark skin interior doll -
Black girl poseable doll -
African collectible doll as gift -

This black swan is called ADONGO which in African language means "one of twins". The African lady is the twin sister of my art doll NAKATO. She has a unique ethnic pattern in dark purple and honey beige colors on her skin. These are the shades of the sunset in the desert... The huge violet solar disk is dazzling you with hot rays and makes the sand golden...

This is the poseable doll model I have worked out myself. The doll's head is a combination of the face gypsum cast, paperclay and papier-mâché. Her hands and feet are also gypsum casts. All casts (face, arms and legs) are made by me from my own master model. The face is painted with acrylic colors. The arms, legs and body are sewn from cotton fabric. The doll's dress is made of linen lace and decorated with beads and sea shells. The earring mask is made by me - I modeled it of clay and painted with purple and copper colors. The size of the doll from top of her head to tiptoes is 45 cm/18".

The doll's gypsum and cloth parts of arms and legs are jointed by decorative beads, that's why ADONGO can move them. While sitting she can cross her legs or tuck them under herself. Being a movable interior doll, the lady cannot stand but she will cosily sit wherever you place her. The doll is not a toy but an interior item and should be handled with care. Please don't wash it. The face can be wiped with a dry soft cloth.

The dark skin lady can be a perfect gift for an art doll collector and African culture amateur or an exquisite adornment for your interior.

Please feel free to convo me with any questions you may have.
