Description

Lots of love went into creating these special potholders. The inspiration came from the evening breeze of the Nordic pine forest and from the night time distant calls of the nesting swans around our summer home in Finland. The moonlight potholder also is reminiscent of the traditional rag rugs on the floors of the country homes in Scandinavia. I hand embroidered the text on the cotton velvet side of the potholders. The lines come from a poem by Robert Richardson. Mark Twain used the same, adapted poem on Olivia Susan Clemens' grave in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. The two potholders will give you a lifetime of cooking pleasure. Your fingers will never burn thanks to the added filler layer. The potholders also make a lovely host or hostess gift when visiting the lake house of a friend or a relative who enjoys cooking. 85% Cotton, 15% Bamboo.

The two potholders are sold as a pair. Each measures approx. 9" x 9" (23 x 23 cm). Ready to ship within 24 hrs.

Care: Hand wash in cool water. Lay flat to dry. A steam iron on cotton setting may be used on the crochet side of the potholder.
