Print of "Miner's Hope" by Joshua Moore
Materials: paper, oil paint, paint, brush, canvas
Width: 12 inches
Height: 12 inches
This is a giclée print of my painting titled, "Miner's Hope." This is from "The Copper Ghosts Collection" that honors Michigan copper miners. Long before the gold rush there was the Michigan copper rush. With the depiction of mountain landscapes, portraits of miners, and scenes from their lives, I’ve tried to tell the story of what it meant to be a miner in Michigan, the more intimate struggle that may be hard to get from a history book.
In the early 1800s, miners worked only by the light of a candle.
Art can be very powerful. With my work, I try to paint the beauty in humanity. I am dedicated to creating art for the sake of the people, art that tells a story and honors the good things in humanity.
The print is 12 inches wide by 12 inches tall, printed on paper, and hand signed by the artist.
