The Anchorpak is a patented new bag form designed to ergonomically distribute weight on the body and reduce the stress and weariness of carrying something on the body. This 7. oz waxed cotton version of the bag is water and stain resistant. Made of durable waxed cotton the bag is a handsome choice for both men and women.

The gray and black color and the architectural form of the panels contribute to the classic style of this bag.

There are pockets for organization: a velcro pocket on the outside for keys and wallet, a water bottle pocket, another external deep pocket and a mesh inside pocket good for carrying a tablet. The large interior pocket holds a small lap-top and all the gear you need for the day.

Our cross-body all-day bag will surprise you with its "fit to feel light" experience. The patented ergo-fit design improves carrying comfort and eliminates pesky bag lurch-around found with messenger bags and shoulder bags. Unlike a backpack, your gear is easily accessible, and, unlike a tote, our packs keep you balanced and handsfree.

This a great carrying tool in the city or the country. Take it to on a trip to Paris or on a hike up Cadillac Mtn., bike to work or forage for mushrooms. Great for both men and women.

Go to Anchorpak.com for an explanation and illustration of Anchorpak's ergonomic features and benefits.

Maine has a long tradition of resourcefulness and ingenuity. It was in this tradition that Anchorpak’s founder, Colin Sullivan-Stevens, a Maine native and Rhode Island School of Design graduate, designed the Anchorpack. He needed something to carry all his stuff to his studio on his bicycle. It needed to feature accessibility, hands free carrying, stability and comfort. Using an old movie screen for material and his geometric expertise from studies in acoustics, he designed and stitched together his first Anchorpak on an old sewing machine of his mother's he taught himself to use.

The bag he designed soon revealed itself to be not only hands-free, accessible, stable on the body but exceptionally comfortable. Soon friends wanted one. He began using color, texture and form in much the same way as he did in his drawing and painting.

Now our bags are stitched by a team of skilled sewers who work from their homes. Sewn into every bag is a little bit of the experience and story, the skill and unique talent of each one of our sewers. Their signatures are literally sewn into the bag.

Cross-body tote with ergonomic design for all day comfort. Functional and fashionable this patented design is "fit to feel light."
